PANASONIC NEW VIERA FULL HIGH DEFINITION LINE-UP
Kuala Lumpur, 9 October 2008 - Panasonic is introducing a new series of VIERA Full High Definition Plasma and LCD TV.
The new series of FULL HD plasma TVs has VIERA’s Digital Cinema Colour, while FULL HD LCD TV emphasizes impressive picture quality with outstanding sharpness. In addition, to superior performance the models come in stunning designs to form one of the most attractive series ever.
Plasma TV PY850 series reproduce the Digital Cinema Colour to enhance the movie experience because images are displayed in vibrant colours as the director intended. PY850 series also come with over 900 lines moving picture resolution with 480Hz Sub-field drive. It allows natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution.
Picture quality is impressive with genuine blacks and High Contrast 1,000,000:1 The new Real Black Drive system (a pre-discharge suppression system) and the improved panel production processes combine to reproduce outstanding blacks with the outstanding contrast. They accurately reproduce scenes, especially those with a delicate balance of light and shadow.
PY850 series with 24p Real Cinema function generates reproduction from the original frame by increasing the number of frame creation for 24p movie sources and makes the images smoother.
PY850 series also emphasizes the 5,120 equivalent steps of gradation to express each image, even the tiniest shades of colours in a sunset.
The PY850 series Plasma Display Panel is mercury and lead free to reduce the impact on the environment when recycling or disposing of them in future.
The FULL HD LCD TV LZ80 series also emphasizes high picture quality. The 178° wide viewing angle with the IPS FULL HD panel allows the viewers enjoy a superior picture from the left, right, above or below.
Colours are clear, vivid and free of washout, even when the screen is viewed from a sharp angle. LZ80 series reproduce rich, deep blacks with High Contrast 10,000:1 with I.S.C (Intelligent Scene Controller). Black is deepened by expanding the backlight tuning area. Improvements in panel contrast and the I.S.C achieves a high dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1 or more.
